Supporting the Community
LG Innotek and our employees volunteer and perform sharing activities to provide practical help and support to senior citizens who live alone in rural or urban areas. and we also donate and install LED lighting in the houses of low-income families.
Environmental Preservation
Together with local governmental offices, LG Innotek employees participate in environmental preservation activities, such as keeping nearby mountains and rivers clean.
Supporting Rural Communities
Each business unit forms a relationship with nearby rural communities to perform various volunteer activities, such as helping with rural agricultural production as well as environmental cleanup.
Pairing One Business Unit with One Military Camp
LG Innotek has formed a relationship with the 2nd Armored Brigade located in Paju city to perform activities that provide practical support for soldiers, such as promoting the employment of retired soldiers, providing books and educational material and supporting cultural activities for soldiers. LG Innotek also provides an opportunity for our employees and their children to experience military camp life.
HAPPY 1000
LG Innotek provides goods and performs activities for local restaurants that only charge 1,000 KRW, (approx.: $1) for low-income families.
LG Innotek employees visit local schools and other educational facilities for the disabled to carry out volunteer activities and provide necessary goods.
Supporting After-School Programs
With the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, LG Innotek helps to improve the conditions of after-school academies that are attended by the children of low-income families and helps to improve their education by tutoring them in science, math and English.
Science Class for Children
LG Innotek is running a ‘science class for grade school students’ from multicultural families. With a set of 14 lectures a year, this class offers the children an opportunity to understand scientific principles found in everyday life through intriguing activities like egg dropping and making a magnetic levitation top. LG Innotek's researchers with master's and doctoral degrees are teaching as volunteers.
